Director, Project Management (Internal Medicine)

This role can be home based anywhere in the US. Are you a seasoned clinical research leader with experience directing global portfolios in General Internal Medicine?   Director, Project Management (Internal Med) role at ICON: As a Director within our Internal Med team, you will provide leadership to effectively coordinate and manage the activities of a large cross-functional multinational portfolio of studies and project teams in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control   Develop full service project plans for portfolio of studies and subsequently lead cross-functional study teams in accordance with contractual timelines, client specifications and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs). Effectively manage study budgets to ensure financial targets are met through regular review of indirect costs and project resources. Provide coaching/mentoring to Project Managers (PMs) and contribute to department training initiatives, as appropriate. A minimum of ten (10) years of full service project management (US only) or nine (9) years of single service project management. Therapeutic experience in across a wide array of complex Internal Medicine indications (GI/Crohn's/Idiopathic Gastro Paresis highly preferred, as well as indications in Respiratory, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Dermatology, and/or Urology). Track record of successfully managing large/complex global cross functional projects; strong domestic and international project management experience. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
