About the Role:
This is a full-time nanny position starting June 24th M,W,Th and F:
8-5.
Nanny will be responsible for the care and well-being of both children.
The older child will be in preschool two days per week in the mornings.
This position will focus on:
Infant Expertise:
Family is seeking someone with extensive experience caring for infants, particularly those familiar with baby-led weaning, milestone tracking, sleep training, and baby sign language.
Formal Childcare (Daycare, Camp, Teacher, Preschool) Experience a Plus:
Prior experience in a daycare setting is highly valued as it demonstrates your ability to manage multiple children in a structured environment.
Dependability & Punctuality:
Mornings are hectic - as both parents start work at 8am, so reliability and promptness are essential.
Activities & Engagement:
Plan and participate in age-appropriate local activities like playdates, library visits, music classes, or sports (depending on the child's age).
Organized & Proactive:
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the children, assist with dinner prep , handle laundry, and maintain tidy play areas and bedrooms.
Ideally, nanny will also help with light housekeeping during nap times, including cleaning play areas, wiping counters, and vacuuming.
Household Errands:
Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and household errands, if time allows, prioritizing children's duties first.
The Ideal Candidate:
A minimum of 2 years of experience caring for children, with a strong focus on infants.
CPR and First Aid certified.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Warm, energetic personality with a passion for child development.
Reliable transportation and a spotless driving record (for preschool drop-off/pick-up and activities).
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with parents.
Commitment to a long-term placement (minimum 1-year contract with potential for 5
years).
Fully vaccinated for Covid, flu, and up to date on all other standard immunizations Position to Offer:
Guaranteed hours and pay $25-$27hr DOE Paid on the books Paid holidays Paid sick days Paid two weeks of vacation Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check and ten panel drug test.
